Zsolt Körtvélyesi, a researcher at the Institute for Legal Studies of the ELKH Centre for Social Sciences (CSS), and associate professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of ELTE, has been awarded funding for research on the protection of minority rights within the framework of the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program.

The goal of the MINOTEE Minority Rights for More Effective European Protection research program is to combine legal and political science approaches to explore new solutions that can help achieve more effective protection of minority rights in Europe, with particular focus on collective claims mechanisms. By examining Roma and Hungarian minority cases, the research aims to develop concrete European proposals that are feasible in the current political environment and promise meaningful change in the daily lives of minorities. The project led by Zsolt Körtvélyesi is hosted by the CEU.
