The French-Hungarian Scientific Research Forum was held for the fourth time at the French Institute in Budapest on October 13-14, 2022. Among the speakers of the two-day conference were representatives of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH), the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). This annual event aims to strengthen the scientific collaborations between institutions and individual researchers, as well as to expand existing relationships. The topics of this year's forum were the challenges facing oncology innovation and the research projects supported by the Hubert Curien – Balaton Program. At the opening of Friday's program, President Miklós Maróth introduced ELKH's international activities and related objectives.

This was the second time that the organizers asked ELKH President Miklós Maróth to speak at this scientific event. The President introduced the research network's international activities and its objectives particularly those that are aimed at strengthening the Hungarian-French scientific collaborations. The forum participants, including Françoise Praz, research director of CNRS welcomed the launch of the ELKH-CNRS mobility program announced for the first time in 2022, a program developed as a result of the framework agreement concluded between the two institutions last year.
