Miklós Maróth, President of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network met Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, the Uzbek Innovation Minister and his delegation on 30 November 2021 in the TTK Research Centre for Natural Sciences. László Buday, Director General of the TTK Research Centre for Natural Sciences and Gyula Vida, Director General of the Centre for Agricultural Research also participated at the meeting.
The discussion reviewed several options about deepening scientific cooperation and the launching of Hungarian-Uzbek research projects. Furthermore, the idea of a short-term training program for young Uzbek researchers was raised with the aim that participants would be acquainted with the research institutions and their scientific work. The counterparts identified a number of areas where Hungarian-Uzbek scientific cooperation was envisaged on the level of research centers and institutions.
