The Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH) Secretariat has launched the call for proposals for its 'Proof of Concept' Program for the third time since 2021. The main objective of the program is to promote research and development, as well as innovation activities carried out at ELKH research sites, including the Office for Supported Research Groups, from the inception of an idea to the development milestones necessary for market entry. The deadline for submitting proposals electronically is April 17, 2023.

Dr. Viktória Eszter Zalányi, Secretary-General of ELKH, emphasized that the aim of the ELKH Secretariat through this program is to support the advancement of technologies developed within the network's research projects to a higher level of maturity, thereby promoting the economic and social utilization of emerging intellectual creations.

As part of the program, the ELKH Secretariat provides up to HUF 45 million in support per project to ELKH research sites over a period of 18 months to promote research utilization activities. The available grant budget for 2023 is 200 million HUF.

The call for proposals for the ‘Proof of Concept’ Program for 2023 is open to research sites under the management of the ELKH Secretariat from all scientific fields and subject areas, without any specific thematic restrictions. Applications are accepted electronically until April 17, 2023.
