ELKH Secretariat staff member elected co-chair of Horizon Europe working group of Science Europe

News

Representing the ELKH research network, the ELKH Secretariat joined Science Europe as a member in 2021, a prestigious organization that deals with European science policy matter. It is a significant achievement that one of our colleagues working in the International Cabinet was this year elected co-chair of the organization's working group that manages the Horizon Europe program. The purpose of the working group is to share and discuss the latest information about the EU research program among member organizations supporting them in increasing their effectiveness in funding applications. Science Europe organizes meetings six times a year in relation to the EU R&I program, providing the opportunity for the 40 member organizations to regularly discuss the most important policy issues. The co-chairs are Krisztina Szepesvári, international relations specialist at the ELKH Secretariat and Hannele Lahtinen, head of the Brussels office of the Academy of Finland.
