Directors of five research sites belonging to Eötvös Loránd Research Network elected

News

The Governing Board of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network has elected the heads of four research centres and one independent research institute of the network for a five-year term from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026. The call for applications for research site leaders was announced because the term of office of the previous heads of the institutions was due to expire.

When making its decisions on the appointment of the leaders, the Governing Board took into account the report of an ad hoc committee set up to evaluate the applications, which included a representative of the relevent research site.

For three institutions, the former heads with long-standing research and extensive management experience were re-elected, while, for two institutions, the current acting directors-general were elected, who also have considerable research and management experience. This continuity ensures the stability of the operation of research sites.

  1. Centre for Agricultural Research (ATK): Gyula Vida, Director General, former Acting Director General
  2. Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences (CSFK): László Kiss, Director General, former Director General
