The HUN-REN Institute for Computer Science and Control (HUN-REN SZTAKI) is the largest and most successful research institute in Hungary in the field of information science. HUN-REN SZTAKI is an information science workshop in the broad sense, a national research base for IT, computer science and related fields. It primarily focuses on the technical-scientific and mathematical aspects of IT, but its research also extends to all fields connected to the basic problems. Alongside a wide range of basic and applied research tasks, the Institute finds it important to apply its know-how in the fields of R&D, system design and integration, consulting and software development.
